Listed below is important information about upcoming meetings for preschool registration and kindergarten registration for the 2012/2013 school year as.

Preschool and Kindergarten Registration Information

3-and 4-Year Old Preschool

It’s that time of year! We need your assistance in compiling our list of children for Preschool 2012-2013. If you have a youngster or know of one who will be eligible for 3- year old or 4-year old preschool next fall, please call 849-1102, ext. 5100 or e-mail ccallahan@cpuschools.org with this information:

• Child’s full legal name
• Child’s date of birth
• Both parent’s names
• Address
• Phone number

**If your child is already enrolled in our 3 year old preschool program, you do not need to contact us.**

• Please be aware that a child must be three (3) years old on or before September 15, 2012, to be eligible for 3 year old preschool next year.
• Please be aware that a child must be four (4) years old on or before September 15, 2012 to be eligible for 4 year old preschool next year.
• A preschool parent meeting for the 2012/2013 school year will be held on February 23^st at 9:00 am and 7:00 pm at the Primary Building. This is change of date. Parents may choose which meeting to attend. Each meeting will last about an hour.  

Kindergarten

Registration time is here! If you have a youngster or know of one who will be eligible for 2012-13 Kindergarten, please call 849-1102, ext. 5100 or e-mail ccallahan@cpuschools.org with this information:

Please be aware that a child must be five (5) years old on or before September 15, 2012, to be eligible for Kindergarten or Alternate Kindergarten.

A parent meeting for the 2012-2013 school year will be held on March 6^th at 9:00 am and 7:00 pm at the Primary Building. Parents may choose which meeting to attend. Each meeting will last about an hour. 

Character Counts Assemblies

Each month students will be recognized for their efforts toward a certain character. In February we will be recognizing Caring. That assembly will be held on Thursday, February 23rd at 2:30 in the north gym.

When your child has been chosen for their efforts, they will be recognized at the assembly and they will have the opportunity to have snack with me the next week along with the other students who were recognized. If your child doesn’t have preschool that day or time of the assembly, we will recognize them when they are in session.

Your child’s teacher will contact you ahead of time to let you know your child will be recognized. Our goal is for each child to be recognized throughout the year for their efforts toward showing quality character throughout their day.
